Makatots – Baby Signing Classes (3 months – 1 year)

Makatots is a 10 week baby signing program, aimed at babies 3 months to 1 year, combing the signs and symbols of Makaton with the creativity of Whiffle Pig.

The primary focus of Makatots is for infants to start learning language in a child-centred way so that it is motivating, engaging and most of all, fun. The Makaton baby signing vocabulary is introduced through songs and music – anything from emotions, farm animals and jungle animals to daily routines and transport signs and much more. All of which will help your child begin to express themselves and what they’d like.

Makatots is a 10-week course (each class is 40 minutes long) which allows us gradually to build up your baby’s signing vocabulary. Course cost is £8 per session, which includes all learning materials.

All of our classes are currently cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Sibling Policy

This class is designed for babies and young toddlers, however we understand that older siblings may need to attend due to child care restraints. Older siblings are welcome to attend class for free as long as they are able to participate on some level (and not be too distracting). Signing is most successful when the whole family participates, so having them attend Makatots is a great way to get involved!

To book the remaining sessions, payment can be taken at the end of the first class or via BACs.
