What is Makaton?
Makaton is a language programme using signs and symbols to support communication. Signs are used, with speech, in spoken word order. This helps to provide extra information about what someone is saying. Using signs and symbols can help people who have no speech or whose speech is unclear.
Whiffle Pig offers a range of official Makaton workshops run by Annie, a licensed Regional Makaton Tutor (license ID 103521).
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic our training has now moved online via Zoom!
Sign up below for our two day Zoom training sessions. We only run small group sessions (8 people per session max), and all your workbooks and your certification is included for just £69 per person.
We are currently running two sessions in this half of 2021. See dates and sign up below. You must attend both days of your session to become certified.
If you’re interested in booking a Makaton Taster Session after we reopen for courses in real life, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. For organisations requiring a course for staff teams or groups of parents, please contact us using the details above to discuss your training requirements.
